Imlay Shire Council:

The Imlay Shire Council was proclaimed on 7 March 1906, one of the 134 shires created after the Local Government (Shires)Act 1905 was passed. Its office was based in Eden. As a result of the Local Government Areas Amalgamation Act of 1980, it merged with the Municipality of Bega and Mumbulla Shire on 1 January 1981 to create the current Bega Valley Shire Council.
